GED4GEM - Exposure Database

GED4GEM - Exposure Database

The GED4GEM project aims to create an open homogenized database of global building stock and population distribution, containing the spatial, structural, and occupancy-related information necessary for damage, loss and human casualty (estimation) models to be deployed in GEM.

We are working on 3 main tasks:
  1. 1. collection, analysis and homogenization of global databases that are available and useful for the GED,

  2. 2. definition and implementation of a GED, and

  3. 3. definition of “best practices” aimed at populating missing layers and or information in specific geographical areas.

  4. Read more about the project..
