Fabrice Cotton

I'm a Professor of Geophysics at the University Joseph Fourier (Grenoble). The principal focus of my research is the characterization of strong ground-motion with a special emphasis on the improvement of European ground motion models and the development of new inversions techniques related to large earthquakes sources studies. I'm actually the PI of the working group in charge of the strong ground-motion modeling for the FP7 SHARE program (Seismic Hazard Harmonization in Europe). I have been recently involved, as an external consultant, in international consultancy projects involving seismic hazard assessments of critical facilities in France and Switzerland.
